Glass City Synchro's Age Group routines in the 16-17 and 10 & Under categories, plus all our intermediate routines qualified to compete in the 2012 regional championship in Livonia, Michigan.
The 10 and under Alice in Wonderland team, consisting of Haley, Kassidy, Emily, Abby, Kaitlyn and Emily, earned their first gold medal. The Alice trio of Kassidy, Kaitlyn and Emily won gold. And Kassidy continued her winning streak with her solo earning a gold medal. Kassidy earned a first place ribbon for 10 & under age group figures, followed by Emily in second place and Kaitlyn in sixth place.
All the 16-17 routines also earned medals. Carolynn earned a silver medal for her solo, and Paulina and Margy's duet earned bronze. The 16-17 team, consisting of Alex, Brooke, Paulina, Margy, Carolynn and Natalie, earned a bronze medal. In addition, Paulina earned a 6th place ribbon for 16-17 figures. These medals mean that all three 16-17 routines qualify to compete in the 2012 Age Group Nationals. (10 & Unders and Intermediates do not compete at Age Group Nationals.)
All the GCS Intermediate routines earned medals. Tori earned a gold medal for her solo as a 13-15 Intermediate. Also earning gold medals were Caitlyn for her 11-12 Intermediate solo, the 10 & Under Intermediate trio of Haley, Abby and Totionna, the 11-12 Intermediate trio of McKenna, Jasmine and Caitlyn, and the 13-15 Intermediate team of McKenna, Tori, Jasmine and Caitlyn. In 13-15 Intermediate figures, McKenna, Tori, Jasmine and Caitlyn placed 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th, respectively. In 10 & Under Intermediate figures, Totionna placed first.
Glass City Synchro sent an 11-12 team with 7 swimmers to compete against the top synchronized swim teams from accross the United States. The team was made up of Abbey, Angel, Dana, Jasmine, McKenna, Renae, and Victoria. They ranked 28th in the nation.
Our 6-swimmer 13-15 team also qualified to compete against the top teams in the nation. Members of this team were Alexandra, Brooke, Carolyn, Margy, Natalie, and Paulina. These girls ranked 32nd place.
They represented the Toledo area well, and are so very proud of all of them!

In August of 2007 Several of the Glass City Synchro Swimmers performed in a commercial for a local appliance retailer, The Appliance Center.
